Raining Lizzards

Today I took the two boys to the park, below are a few shots I got between the swings, slides, stairs, and keeping them from chasing the lawnmower!

Owen woke up the other morning predicting it was going to rain lizzards. He was convinced lizzards were going to fall from the sky… (he’s been facinated by lizzards since he caught and kept 2 as pets in Nevada this summer). So I went on Amazon and bought a package of lizzards and it just so happen that they fell from the sky one day while he was away at school. The excitement can’t be described (sadly my camera was at home this day), he continued to exclaim, “I was right, lizards did rain from the sky, You were wrong, I was right! I was right! I WAS RIGHT!!!” If you asked him how many came down, he’d look down, and very overwhelmed answer, “TONS”.  It was so cute. Well, his sister has claimed the lizards to be hers now, and Owen has moved onto the idea of getting a real one for his birthday in a couple of weeks. He’s been working hard doing chores and stuff to earn the extra money, you gotta love a kid that wants to work!
The pictures are from our “recreations” of it “raining lizards”. Alexandra just laughs and laughs as the lizards fall on her head. After they had rained on her she went over to her brother and “rained lizards” on him. It was precious, and of course, he loved it as well. Have a great night!
