  • Welcome to my world.

    Welcome!

Go ahead, grab a snack and something to drink. You may be here awhile as you take a journey through life as my camera sees it. I believe it's the luckiest camera around as it frequently captures the most beautiful people I've ever met. It frequently encounters things like the innocence of a newborn just getting started in life or the love and beauty of a couple exchanging vows beginning a new life together.

Unique in your own way, and more beautiful than all the rest.. this is your life and how it's capture it is up to You!

My goal is to not only create beautiful images and capture moments but for my images to tell a story. Sometimes the most cherished memories aren't the big events- but the little moments that happened in between.

I capture moments as I see them unfold, I'll give you prompts if needed but encourage a very relaxed environment where you are free to be yourself. I want the images I capture to reflect you and the emotions of that moment to be felt just as they were the moment they happened.

If you have any questions- I'd love to hear from you! You can view my portfolio here: http://lightlovelaughter.com . I absolutely LOVE getting emails... so feel free to shoot me one here:

Happy Birthday Parker and Owen!

Yesterday, Rain or Shine Parker and Owen’s birthday party was going to happen. Their fascination with nature, bugs, rocks, and dirt never ends. Here in Georgia the drought that we had for several years is most definitely over as we’ve been under flood warnings for almost a week! The morning of the party it rained then it poured requiring Parker’s dad (Pierce) to dig out his best farming skills and building dams and canals so we all didn’t get washed away! :)

All birthday parties must have a cake… but this party required no ordinary cake. The boys had requested they have snake cakes so Rhodes Bakery did just that! Owen had a cobra (that’s his favorite type of snake) and Parker chose a King Snake. They were very cool and much cuter than the real ones we’d seen earlier that morning. The rain decided to really come down hard for the last half of the party causing the tent to flood so Pierce went to work building dams and canals to keep the tent from flooding. I know everyone was thankful for his efforts and success in keeping the rain water away.

The kids enjoyed playing in the rain all morning and all the umbrellas and rain boots were so fun, colorful, and cute. Happy Birthday to Parker and Owen- enjoy being 5!!

It’s a good thing rain can’t stop you from having a birthday!

She is just too cute!

Everyone had fun making their bug jars!

They had a Reptile theme that included making bug jars when their friends arrived and then going on a reptile hunt to find frogs, toads, lizards, and insects to fill their jars with. They wanted a reptile show but couldn’t find many locations that allowed live reptiles, but were given the green light by Cator Woolford Gardens.  The Reptile Wrangler did a show with lots of different reptiles including a tarantula, a king snake, a iguana, and an alligator! The kids loved it and the adults were fascinated during the entire show. Ken and Zac do a great job displaying different types of exotic critters while sharing information about each animal making their show both entertaining and educational!

So funny- when she walked around she HAD to have her umbrella.. but the minute she saw a bug to pick up.. down it went. :)

Even the parents were amused by the reptile show.

This guy was pretty cool!

While others just had more fun playing in the rain!

I guess the snake was slimy??
