  • Welcome to my world.

    Welcome!

Go ahead, grab a snack and something to drink. You may be here awhile as you take a journey through life as my camera sees it. I believe it's the luckiest camera around as it frequently captures the most beautiful people I've ever met. It frequently encounters things like the innocence of a newborn just getting started in life or the love and beauty of a couple exchanging vows beginning a new life together.

Unique in your own way, and more beautiful than all the rest.. this is your life and how it's capture it is up to You!

My goal is to not only create beautiful images and capture moments but for my images to tell a story. Sometimes the most cherished memories aren't the big events- but the little moments that happened in between.

I capture moments as I see them unfold, I'll give you prompts if needed but encourage a very relaxed environment where you are free to be yourself. I want the images I capture to reflect you and the emotions of that moment to be felt just as they were the moment they happened.

If you have any questions- I'd love to hear from you! You can view my portfolio here: http://lightlovelaughter.com . I absolutely LOVE getting emails... so feel free to shoot me one here:

Owen’s Petting Farm

Owen E. also turned 5 this week and his birthday party was Saturday evening. Thankfully the rain stayed in the clouds for a couple of hours and left just enough time to turn his front yard into a petting farm! There were pigs, rabbits, a sheep, goat, alpaca, cow, and the highlight of the party a pony to ride! I have to admit that seeing the kids ride the pony made me want to go home and ride my horses… but since Nebraska is much too far away I stayed to capture the excitement and joy of these children interacting with the farm animals and riding the pony. :) Some of the kids had never ridden a horse, so seeing their enthusiasm, excitement and hearing them giggle and laugh proved the party was loved by all. A special thank you to The Little Red Barn for creating a farmyard in the front yard. :)
Owen had a great time and I know all his friends did too!

She had so much fun brushing the animals :)

It was so neat to see how this little girls expressions and emotions changed once she got on the pony…

He went to being a little frightened and unsure to absolutely LOVING it!!

I found this in Owen’s front yard!

Meet Owen E. the Birthday Boy! He was fascinated with the rooster but was very gentle and careful interacting with him.

It’s not everyday you have a goat in your yard in the city…

Taking a very close look at the sheep…

Some of us choose to stuff it all in!
