Just when I thought tonight would be another routine night I received a facebook message from a girl I met several years ago. We’ve become good friends and I’ll share the story of how we met sometime soon ( I am planning a super special post for this story just in time for Christmas). Needless to say she’s been down a long road, she’s young but has already lived a full life. We’ve only been able to keep in touch through the mail and after not hearing from her in many months I was afraid I’d lost touch with her in what was perhaps… forever.
You know sometimes how there’s someone who’s got bigger plans…
Her name looked familiar but I didn’t immediately recognize who it was for a moment as facebook was the last place I expected to hear from her. :) Once I realized who it was I quickly shot her an email back and shared my phone number.. minutes later I was estatic when the phone rang and fought hard to hold back the tears. Totally overwhelmed to be reconnected and Speak to this special friend for the first time since the day I met her.
She’s doing well she’s seen so many blessings in her life and after trying to find me for several weeks online she was able to hunt me down on facebook… so I never thought I would say it, but tonight I am SO thankful for Facebook!
This girl is such a sweetheart and she’s someone who is very near and dear to my heart. I haven’t seen her in several years (actually since the day we met), but we’ve already planned a reunion and I can hardly wait! Make sure to look for a special post and pictures to come and I promise they will be here before Christmas. :)
So on this ordinary night that turned out to be extraordinary, I also happen to work through these beautiful pictures of this precious family. This family has also experienced many blessings. All these precious kids have were adopted when they were very young and have been given the family they have today to love and support them. How cool?! Shanna is passionate about adoption and it shows… she adopted 3 kids and their ages are 3, 3, and 5!
I had so much fun at the Riverside Park with them and had the hardest time weeding out the pictures to use for the blog… there are SO many Great pictures I didn’t share here but have included in the slide show… I promise you DON’T want to miss it!
