I love the extra hour of daylight in the summer but I hate sacrificing the hour sleep to have it! Saturday was a day of scattered showers and clouds and between the showers I captured a beautiful wedding that I’ll share soon. I was a little groggy Sunday morning and was excited about seeing little Emma and her parents (Ginny and Josh) Sunday afternoon but frankly would have truly enjoyed a long afternoon nap. I forewent some extra sleep and met up with the Hornsby family at the top of the mountain. It was there I was reminded why I absolutely LOVE shooting children (specially the young ones).
Emma is a beautiful little girl with blonde hair and blue eyes. She shares her love and passion for life through her giggles and smiles. At her first little giggle I was refreshed and ready to tackle this afternoon. Emma wasn’t getting her afternoon nap and I didn’t need mine either! She loves rocking chairs, stories, O’s, and having her daddy toss her into the sky. We read stories inside, tried every chair she could find in the building (like Goldilocks did), and then she decided it was time to play outside. It was cold, wet, soggy, saturated and partially flooded but she didn’t care. She actually slid down a little slope and got her shoes buried in the mud, but it didn’t slow her down! It was off to the races, more laughter, more smiles and many more giggles to be shared. :)
