Oh my goodness! Where to start with this amazing family? Colleen and I have tried to align our schedules since last Fall and I couldn’t have been more excited when the day finally arrived, the weather cooperated (although the May afternoon felt more like we’d jumped into July), and were set out to do their family session. I met Sam a couple of weeks earlier when I did school pictures for her preschool and was pretty excited to see her again. She’s such a cute little girl! During our pre-session consultation I asked Colleen to bring some items that may represent their family and represent some things they enjoy doing together as a family. These types of things not only make wonderful images- but they are excellent ice breakers as well to make sure everyone gets comfortable with the camera and really kinda forgets I’m even there!
I love this first image- Sam loved playing monster and once we started… she never wanted it to end! I love how this captures the expression and movement of everyone involved. SO fun!

Ok- so I’m in love with little Sam and adore the picture of her and her daddy.

This was fun shooting through the fountain and I’m really excited you can see all their beautiful faces.

Too sweet.

They all have such beautiful smiles!

She loved smelling the flowers! After sniffing the red flowers she exclaimed “They smell like chocolate!” We had a little doubt- but upon smelling them for ourselves discovered she was exactly right- so crazy!

I love her expression of joy and excitement here

Don’t miss out on the rest of their session and all the fun we had Friday afternoon by watching their slideshow below.
Have you had a family session recently? Would you like to capture the childhood memories for your children? I’d love to hear from you! tessa@lightlovelaughter.com
